I was quite hesitant about ordering my veil over the Internet. However, it
seemed my options were few being that the one veil I wanted in a bridal
store was $450--and the only other option was making it from scratch. I
was drawn to Veils A La Mode because the craftsmanship was done for me, and
I could order something simple and decorate it how I wanted it to match my
dress.
I spoke with Lynn over the phone, and she offered many helpful
suggestions to achieve the look I was going for. Yesterday I received my
veil, and today I finished decorating it. I glued 3 small applique roses,
nearly 20" apart, as recommended by Lynn, centered across the bottom. I
purchased 3 mm pearls and carefully glued those on randomly along the
bottom of the second tier. I did the same to the blusher using 3 mm clear
iridescent beads, (only $0.59/pkg). Lynn suggested the comb be first
wrapped in satin ribbon, to be a white base for the appliques I then glued
on. I hand glued each bead and pearl to the applique work on the comb,
creating a custom head piece like no other I could have ever afforded!
I
realized, with Veils A La Mode providing the base from which you can
decorate, you can achieve the look you want for nearly one quarter of the
price. I highly recommend being creative and working out your custom ideas
with your contact at Veils A La Mode. I did, and I couldn't be any happier
with the end result.
